This article explains how to create a new event using Ticket Generator. This guide is useful for event organizers to get started with the first step after creating an account.
A. Getting Started
- Log in to your Ticket Generator account
- Navigate to Manage Events from the navigation sidebar
- Click on Create New Event button
B. The Create Event Form
- The Create Event modal will open and ask you to enter basic event details
- Fill in all details and click on Create
- The event will be created and you will be redirected to the Event Details page, where you can proceed to set the Event Page or customize the Ticket Design
C. Single-Day vs. Multi-Day Event
In the Create Event form, you'll need to choose if the event is:
- Single Day: Choose if the event starts and ends on the same day
- Multi-Day: Choose if the event spans over multiple days
If you choose Multi-Day, you'll need to specify the days of the event between the chosen period:
You can choose to select:
- All Days if the event is happening on all days
- Specific days if the event is happening on limited days between the chosen Start Date and End Date

D. Activate Tickets
Another option given in the Create Event form is the Activate Tickets field.
By default, the tickets you'll create for this event are not automatically 'active'. As the tickets are one-time scannable tickets, this setting is to avoid premature validation of tickets.
Using the Activate Tickets setting, you can choose when to activate the tickets. Typically, this should be set to the day of the event and maybe few hours before the ticket validation starts.
Note that:
- this setting can be edited at any time before the event starts
- the ticket activation time should at least be 5 mins after the current time (time of filling the Create Event form)
- the ticket activation time should at least be 5 mins before the event start time
