Introduction
Add-ons in Ticket Generator allow event organizers to provide additional benefits along with event tickets. These perks—such as lunch passes, parking access, or merchandise—can either be included in the ticket price or offered as optional purchases.
Each Add-on is linked to a ticket and includes its own scannable validation. This helps event staff easily verify and redeem these perks during the event using the Ticket Validator app.
A. Add Add-ons While Creating an Event
Add-ons can be added while creating ticket categories during the event setup process.
Follow these steps:
- Log in to the Ticket Generator account
- Navigate to Manage Events
- Click on Create Event
- Proceed to the Ticket Categories section while setting up the event
- While creating a ticket category, select the Add-on option
- Enter the required details:
- Add-on Name
- Ticket Category the Add-on applies to
- Price (if applicable)
- Description of the Add-on
- Save the details to attach the Add-on to the selected ticket category
The Add-on will now be associated with the selected ticket category.
B. Add Add-ons to an Existing Event
Add-ons can also be added to events that are already active.
Follow these steps:
- Log in to the Ticket Generator account
- Navigate to Manage Events
- Select the required event
- Go to Event Details > Event Add-ons
- Click on Add Add-on
- Enter the Add-on details such as name, ticket category, price, and description
- Save the changes
The Add-on will now be available for the selected ticket categories.
C. Redeem Add-ons During Ticket Validation
Once attendees receive their tickets, the Add-ons linked to the tickets can be redeemed during the event.
- Event staff scan the ticket using the Ticket Validator app
- After scanning, the validator can view the Add-on details associated with the ticket
- A Redeem option appears for each Add-on
- The validator can mark the Add-on as redeemed once the attendee receives the perk
This process helps event organizers efficiently manage and track Add-on usage during the event.
