Introduction
Creating multiple types of tickets for an event allows for better segmentation and customization. Categories such as VIP and General Admission help cater to different audience needs, enhance the attendee experience, and can contribute to increased revenue.
You can now assign different ticket designs to each ticket category directly within a single event.
Here are the ways to create different ticket categories in Ticket Generator:
A. Adding Ticket Categories Within a Single Event
To create a new ticket category for an event:
- Go to the Event Details page and navigate to the Ticket Type section.
- Select Add Ticket Category and enter the name and description of the category.
This method works for both free and paid events.
B. Assigning Different Ticket Designs per Category
You can assign a unique ticket design for each category within the Ticket Design tab of your event:
- In the Ticket Design section, use the Ticket Category dropdown
- Select a ticket category
- Customize the design using either the Default Design or the Upload Own Design option
- The selected design will apply only to that specific category and will be used across all ticket delivery methods
- This eliminates the need for creating multiple templates separately or using different events for each ticket type
Note: The selected design will be used in all delivery methods for the selected ticket category.
C. Generating Tickets by Category
Users can generate tickets in two ways:

Event Page:
- If using the Event Page, end users can buy tickets directly.
- During registration, they can select multiple ticket categories (e.g., VIP, General Admission).

Guest Tickets:
- Go to Guest Tickets > Single Ticket/Bulk Ticket.
- Choose the Generate and Send or Generate and Download options.
- Download the tickets or send them to the end users with the desired categories selected.
D. Best Practices
- Ticket Design: Ensure the design reflects the category (e.g., VIP design should stand out).
- Validation: Use the Ticket Validator app to validate tickets seamlessly.
