This guide explains what are common errors encountered while creating an event using Ticket Generator and how to resolve them.
A. Common Error Prompts
While creating an event using Ticket Generator, the following error prompts could appear on the top-right corner of the dashboard:
- Event start timing must be 5 minutes after current timing
- Event end timing must be 15 minutes after event start timing
- Ticket scan timing must be 5 minutes after current timing
- Ticket scan timing must be 5 minutes before event start timing
These errors occur due to incorrect timing settings in the Activate Tickets On or Date and Timings form fields in the Create Event form.
B. Correct Timing Settings
To avoid these errors, the timing settings in the Activate Tickets On, Date and Timings, and Timezone sections need to be configured correctly. Accurate timing settings ensure smooth ticket validation and prevent unnecessary delays. Here are the corrective measures to follow:
-
Activate Tickets On: This should be set as:
- At least 5 minutes before the event start time
- At least 5 minutes after the current time
- Event Start Time: This should be set as at least 5 minutes after the current time
- Event End Time: This should be set as at least 15 minutes after the event start time
- Timezone: Double-check that the correct timezone is selected
Note: Event coordinators can only validate tickets after the Activate Tickets On time has reached.
