Deactivate Tickets

This guide provides instructions on how to deactivate tickets using the Ticket Generator web application. This is useful for event organizers who need to manage their event tickets efficiently.

If the event organizer has shared tickets with guests but for some reason wants to make such tickets invalid, then event organizers can use the Deactivate Tickets option. Coordinators who scan deactivated tickets at the entry will get an Invalid response and can stop such ticket-holders from entering the event. Given below are steps on how to deactivate tickets. Note that tickets will need to be deactivated one by one.

A. Log in to the Ticket Generator Account

1. Open a web browser and go to the Ticket Generator Login page
2. Enter login credentials and access the account

B. Navigate to Manage Events

1. Once logged in, you will be directed to the dashboard

2. In the navigation sidebar, click on Manage Events

C. Select the Event

1. From the list of events, locate and click on the event for which you want to deactivate the tickets
2. The Event Details page will open

D. Deactivate Tickets

1. Scroll down to the Total Tickets Generated section
2. Click on the Deactivate Tickets button

E. Search for the Ticket

1. In the pop-up screen that appears, you can search for the ticket by entering the Ticket ID, Email ID, or Phone Number
2. Click on the Search button

F. Confirm Deactivation

1. After finding the ticket, click on the Deactivate button next to the ticket details
2. A prompt will be displayed asking you to check and confirm the deactivation
3. Click on Confirm to deactivate the ticket

A confirmation pop-up will be displayed on the screen indicating that the ticket has been successfully deactivated.

Note: 

• Only tickets for ongoing events can be deactivated
• If an event has expired or tickets for an event are yet to be activated, a pop-up will be displayed that the event does not exist
• Ticket credits will not be restored after deactivating tickets
